WOW!!! another fellow saima-supporter!!!! welcome 2 JB badmash lahoria!!! i agree with your view on lollywood's undisputed queen, saima!!

the only part i disagree with is, the negative words abt zara and co. in my opinon, although they are not in saima's leauge, they do have SOME talent and the future of lollywood rests in their hands. so although saima's better right now....i think u should give zara and co. atleast SOME credit!!

yup! i agree with all of u guys.

from what i hear, 2004 will kick off with abrar and humaira arshad launching their respective albums near basant!!! fuzon is also working on their next venture. i think they 2 will release in 2004. so this year should be HUGE 4 pak music!!

platonic jee.....altho i have not seen LP, i HAVE seen YDAKH..........and it too, had its lowpoints... BIG lowpoints!

as long as saima delivered a kick-ass performance as she always does, the quality is good, and that one song sung by humaira arshad is nicely picturized....LP will be a hit 4 me!!

so was any of my criteria met?!?!....please inform!

interesting article. i agree with most of it, especially the part where pakistani music is given the credit it deserves. i also liked the part where meera was asked questions in urdu. LOL.

as 4 pooja and mahesh going 2 karachi....urmila came 2 lahore 2 make a music video! the festival just happend 2 be in karachi! if it was in peshawar, they would have gone there. lol. same with urmila. lets not make this a lahore vs. karachi thing!!! as long as PAKISTAN and LOLLYWOOD are given the credit they deserve......we ALL (lahori's and karachi people) are on the same team, right?!?!?!!!!!!!!

ydakh jee.....and anyone else interested...i have a little story 2 share with ya'll!

back home in pak, my cousin is getting married. the valima is 2morrow, and among the guests expected: rambo, waris baig and SHAAN!!! they are all good friends with the groom! my khala said she will make ALL three of them give personalized messages 2 me, in the wedding video!!! no joke! i'm all pumped up now. lol.

i requested that shaan give the message 'humayon gujjar' style, but i guess that would be pushing it, right!?! LOL. nonetheless, my uncle and khala said they would make sure all 3 lolly stars give me a message in the video!! NFAKFan37991.3822453704

you're somewhat right ydakh, but again....none of this has 2 do with saima!! she's not the ONLY one responsible for the movie's problems thus far!! thats my point jinaab!!

anyhow...wherever it succeeds, i just hope it lives up to expectations. if not in karachi...other cities in pak might appreciate it!!!! for the industry's sake, i hope it does good elsewhere.

that ain't right bro. i don't get y u have 2 make the topic un-sticky???

don't get me wrong....u guys can do whatever u want (remove it, unsticky it, leave it etc.) - ya'll r the boss. but don't complain when every other topic in the lollywood forum is abt saima like a while back!! lol. if its sticky, the amount of topics dedicated 2 her are fewer, and that makes it more organized.

just my opinion....

as far as keeping it popular/alive....leave that 2 me. lol.

kiya baat kar rehey ho srk yaar?!?!!! according to the stats gathered by ydakh jee in another post, FAUJA AMRATSARIYA - a punjabi movie, made by sangeeta - is among the top 3 this year in lollywood! lol.

and in regards 2 this post, i agree 200% with YDAKH jee! indeed 2003 had its lows, but there were highs as well. we need 2 focus on the good things and expand on them in 2004!

sorry jinaab....u're somewhat wrong here!

EVERYONE has to understand something here: larki punjaban has not been OFFICIALLY released worldwide as promised. thats why it has not made the money it was expected to make.

you will notice, in the UK where it was hyped the most, the film was released for a month only, and even that....in certain select cinemas.

now in pak, it is playing sporadically in certain locations. i emailed someone who writes professional articles on lollywood, and this is the response i got in regards to LP:

"Larki Panjaban has had its release delayed because of a case in which some producer claims that Syed Noor has hijacked her film which was called Kuri Panjaban! i saw the boards up for the film passing by Rwpindi the other day but the dates were not up. its bound to be resolved shortly."

clearly, the film is suffering due to its sporadic release. if sayed noor was able to release it simultaneously as he wanted, there is NO DOUBT it would have SMASHED lollywood records.

so ydakh jee, i appeal 2 u (aap to sumajh-daar hain!), and everyone else that has a brain, 2 not be ignorant and blame saima, and the punjabi language 4 this film's problems. lack of exposure, this scandal abt the name, sporadic release dates and a host of other reasons contribute to its lack of success thus far.

wats up bro?! maummar was indeed great. that role was taylor made for him. shaan is better at action movies, not romantic-comedy ones. thats where maummar shines, in my opinion.

and i also agree abt veena malik! when i saw the movie i kept asking myself 'why couldn't veena and sana have switched roles'?!!! lol.
